Yandy Smith Joins H4HA’s Campaign to ‘Save the Women Not the Boobies’

Entertainment powerhouse and ‘Love & Hip Hop New York’ reality-TV star, Yandy Smith joins forces with H4HA’s (Hairless 4 Her Awareness, Inc.) ‘Save the Women Not the Boobies’ campaign, to promote breast cancer awareness within the urban community. Smith, President and Chief Marketing Officer of the über-popular digital lifestyle magazine, ‘Everything Girls Love’ hopes to use her platform to encourage women to know their bodies.

“When you take away a woman, you take away the heart and backbone of a family. It’s a scary and devastating experience“, says Smith during the recent campaign photo shoot.

Combining the elements of a fashion photo shoot with the thought-provoking visual imagery of a woman’s breasts wrapped in pink caution tape, the ‘Save the Women Not the Boobies’ campaign has gone viral due in large part to its emphasis on humanizing the woman battling the disease, not glorifying the breasts attached.

For H4HA founder, Turquoise J. Brown, Smith’s selection as brand ambassador ushers in a new phase for the three-year old organization. “We are in growth mode and are committed to expanding our social reach. Yandy’s energy, drive and hustlerprenuer spirit is one that I’m sure will encourage women to become aware and inspire them to get involved. We are honored by her commitment to our cause.”

Smith has a special message to women facing this difficult journey, “You are not alone, you have the arms of millions of women around the world holding you up and fighting with you and together we can win.”

Campaign photos featuring Yandy Smith will be released on June 16, 2014 on H4HA’s website and on the ‘Everything Girls Love’ website.
