The food at Max’s Wine Dive is brilliantly executed and easily captivating. This is truly comfort food done right!

If you ask pretty much anyone, when the weather gets colder we all long for comfort food. You know; the mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, fried chicken- pretty much anything that will make us feel full, satisfied & on a carb overload.

Don’t be left in the cold this year as the weather is cooling down. If you’re craving comfort, head to Max’s Wine Dive in Wicker Park. The soothing and cozy atmosphere is perfect for a chilly night; not to mention the selection of over 100 wines, and of course, the comfort foods that Chef Jessica Brumleve has perfected.

Another thing you don’t want to do on a cold, relaxing night? Think! So, we did it for you. Here are some of the menu items you must try- with helpful wine pairings, too, straight from Chef Jessica herself!

First up, Fried Chicken & Champagne
Nope, you’re not dreaming! Max’s Wine Dive knows that champagne is meant to be paired with salty and heavy foods, so they paired it with their extra crispy yet surprisingly light fried chicken. I can’t express how delicious this fried chicken was, especially paired with the Prodige Blanc de Blancs from Loire, France. This is the perfect winter pairing that will leave you completely satisfied!
*Note: This chicken can also be made GLUTEN FRIENDLY, and it tastes just as delicious!
