The only thing better than this would be some delicious recipes from our friends over at Hornitos…and that’s exactly what we have for you. Stop by the market, grab some goodies and spice up your Monday with these recipes!
This National Tequila Day (July 24th), Hornitos is taking a shot at breaking traditions and encouraging tequila fans to take a modern approach to the holiday with whiskey barrel-aged Hornitos Black Barrel Tequila neat, on the rocks and in unique twists on a Mexican favorite Paloma cocktail rather than traditional margaritas.
·2 parts Hornitos® Black Barrel® Tequila
·1 ¼ parts fresh ruby red grapefruit juice
·1 part fresh lime juice
·½ part simple syrup
·1 dash Angostura® bitters
Preparation: Lightly muddle 2-3 basil sprigs in a shaker. Add remainder of ingredients into the shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a highball glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a basil sprig and grapefruit slice.
·1 ½ parts Hornitos® Black Barrel® Tequila
·¾ part fresh ruby red grapefruit juice
·¾ part fresh lime juice
·½ part agave syrup
Preparation: Lightly muddle ¼ grapefruit and 4 slices jalapeño in a shaker. Combine remainder of ingredients into the shaker over ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a grapefruit slice.
