Following on a streak of genre-defying singles that have seen the band championed everywhere from the likes of Annie Mac to 1Xtra’s MistaJam, Irish hip-hop trio Hare Squead today release brand new track ‘Loco’. Premiered via Clash Magazine, the gritty visual for the track showcases the band in their hometown of Dublin and was shot by collaborator Hugh Mulhern. ‘Loco’, along with previous singles ‘Long Way To Go’ & ‘Herside Story’, make up the trio’s debut ‘Supernormal’ EP which is available to stream & buy now on all major platforms. You can watch the video HERE.
‘Loco’ sees the band explore their harder side, taking a kaleidoscopic melting pot of influences including their love of trap and grime the track has proven to be a live favourite at shows over the past few months. The track, produced by the band and Stephen Kozmeniuk, is the follow up to ‘Herside Story’, which has seen support across Radio 1, Radio 1Xtra and Beats1, not to mention the likes of Dazed, NME, RWD Magazine, DIY, Noisey and The 405.
The tail-end of 2016 has seen Hare Squead play a roadblock sell out headline show at Dublin’s infamous Button Factory before supporting starlet Dua Lipa across her sold out European tour to thousands of frenzied fans. With a wealth of support already & plenty of new music on the way, 2017 looks set to be a breakout year for Hare Squead.
