Details: Renowned Chicago conductors Doreen Rao and Mollie Stone have teamed up in support of the 20th anniversary of Girls in the Game – a local non-profit that provides and promotes sports and fitness opportunities, health education, and leadership development to enhance the overall health and well-being of local girls.
The conductors will lead a group from the Chicago Children’s Choir, Chicago Chamber’s Choir and St. James Cathedral Choir for the first ever “Sing Out Loud” holiday event happening Saturday, December 5th starting at 7:30 at St. James Cathedral in the Loop. The one-of-a-kind event will feature a rousing blend of musical styles, from hip hop to jazz, classical to gospel, sharing stories of the strides made in girls and women’s issues while addressing the challenges we all still face.
Tickets start at $20 for admission to the concert with all proceeds from the evening benefiting Girls in the Game.
