With brides saving every penny for the big day, can you share some tips & tricks for at-home workouts?
Investing in a DVD workout collection is an excellent idea! If the bride is committed to working out at home she will see results. Time usually becomes an issue as the wedding day starts to get closer so looking for a variety of workouts that offer different challenges is the way to go! Insanity Max30 with Shaun T is perfect for getting the blood pumping and burning some serious calories at the same time. Another workout I love that tones muscles in a time crunch is Suzanne Bowen’s Barre Amped Boot Camp.
Arms are a BIG deal for brides since most dresses show them off…what are the best tips & tricks for toning arms?
I can completely agree with that statement, I know for myself with my dress being strapless I really wanted to concentrate on toning my arms, shoulders and back. There are so many ways to achieve a toned physique over time and in time crunch if you are just getting started. Finding the time to fit in a push ups during the day is ideal. Trying doing a set of 15 in the morning and at night, you will find yourself getting stronger overtime. I love the multi-purpose workout below!
Wood Chopper: This workout will concentrate on your upper and lower body, ideal for total body toning. While standing in squat position hold the medicine ball close to your body with both hands at chest level. Slowly lower your body into a squat position while dropping the medicine ball at angle to one side of the body. When returning to standing position lift the ball close to your shoulders opposite of the angle you originally lowered the ball while in squat position. The workout should look as though you are chopping a block of wood with an axe.
This should be done for 8 reps on each side.
Tips & Tricks for maintaining a healthy diet throughout the wedding planning process?
I have seen brides go to both extremes gain and lose a lot of weight due to the stress of wedding planning. Not only is this not good for the body and mind but just think about how many times you may need to take in your dress or worse let it out! Try to stick to a regular eating schedule by eating 5-6 times a day that includes two snacks one mid-morning and afternoon. Avoid skipping meals or grabbing unhealthy options on the go.
Advice for brides to get in the right state of mind for getting in shape for their big day?
Train your mind, change your body is the motto for Nadia Murdock Fit! Planning a wedding can be a very stressful and enjoyable experience balled into one. It’s important to take the time to enjoy the planning experience and not let the stress take over. Stress can cause skin irritations, stomach alignments, sleeping disorders and much more! Try incorporating meditation into your everyday routine. It’s a healthy habit to create and stick to well after the wedding has come and gone.
